QUAD QAMP!
Weekly
Our weekly butt-wrenching hill repeats! Thursday evenings during Daylight Saving Time mid-March through October, clambering the slopes of splendid 60-acre Perkerson Park. Social hour after: grab something from the Community Beverage Trust (or bring a contribution), then gossip and raconteur. We might be party to an owl war, enrobed in a Nilla Wafer fog, receive a storm coyote’s benediction, or maybe watch Joe barf. The season wraps with Casserole Night!

LAST SUNDAY
AT SOUTHSIDE
A.M. trail run in our collective back yard! Atlanta boasts 7.5 miles of purpose-built ITP singletrack at Southside Park, courtesy of the dirt-wizards at MTB Atlanta. They're packed with twists, turns, rock trials, moderate climbs and sweet, swooping descents. A great place to forage seasonally for mushrooms, and rife with deer and box turtles. Choose your own distance and hang out for snacks afterward. We usually bake something to share, and you’re welcome to bring something, too.

ALLEYRUN
Monthly
A wild-eyed step away from the stagnant Atlanta defaults. See the city anew through cobble alleys, cut-throughs, abandoned roads, disused staircases, fence tears, hedge holes, quad-squashing hills, and secrets open solely to runners. Five miles at gossip pace (~10 minute miles): long enough to thrill, yet accessible to most levels. We want to get you lost, not leave you behind. Incidentally, remember to get a regular tetanus booster every few years.
Seasonal
FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS
Not a long run, but a fun one. Every Friday night in November, we gather in the deep dark of Perkerson Park for a headlamp-lit game of follow-the-leader, taking turns pulling the gang on a nocturne tour of the park’s wild woods and trails, bridges, creeks, and slopes. Each round starts and ends at one of the big stone chimneys by Perkerson Creek, downslope of the tennis courts, where we have a blaze roaring and bevvies waiting.

Annual
One-offs & specials
Our wild hares race friends and raise funds for community aid groups. A sampling: the Spink-Collins Classic, formerly known as the not-Peachtree Road Rage; the Second Helpings Half Marathon; beer & seltzer miles; and history & haunting tours. Newsletter devotées get the advance info on all the funky shit.
